¿A qué se dedica usted en su day job?
Stay at home mom to Caroline (Kindergarten) and Kathryn (almost 2). Prior to that, I was EVP and Chief Legal Officer at UL Solutions. And prior to that, I was a partner at Winston & Strawn.
Why did you become an ILAO Board of Directors member?
I became an ILAO Board member after serving as benefit chair. I was compelled to both serve as benefit chair and subsequently on the ILAO Board for many reasons but perhaps the most compelling is that it provides an opportunity for me to give back to both the community in which I grew up (downstate, rural Central Illinois) and the community in which I live now (the Chicago-land area). The benefit chair and Board roles have also allowed me to leverage my relationships and my talents to give back in a meaningful way to the legal pro bono community.
Can you tell us about a memorable experience serving on the Board?
Find any opportunity to work with dedicated and smart individuals memorable for many reasons, my service on ILAO's Board no exception. There are so many dedicated and smart individuals on ILAO's Board and staff making every meeting and other interaction enjoyable and an opportunity to learn.
