Powers of attorney (POAs) are legal documents that give someone you trust the power to make decisions for you when you choose or if you are no longer able to make your own decisions. La persona a la que usted le otorga el poder notarial es el agente, y usted es el principal. In Illinois, there are two types of Powers of Attorney:

• Power of attorney for health care, and
• Power of attorney for property.
